yeah that is a very good point. on both topics. right now the rings are gapped for big boost, like 20ps+ and im running a lil more than a third of that so i use a whole lot of oil, like a quart every gas tank, and that sucks. so your right i wont do that. on ventilating the crank case, what would i need? something like a positive crankcase vent system or what Are you running the OEM PCV valves? I would vent both of the valve covers to either one large catch can or two catch cans. A vaccum pump hooked to a catch can would help pull more pressure from the crank case. however, if you're using 1 qt of oil for ever fill up, i honestly dont think thats the rings. i gap mine to .017 and .020 and dont use any oil. But if you're running the stock PCV valves without a check ball in them, when the engine sees boost, the pcv valve doesnt shut and it boosts the crank case, which would cause you to burn oil and possibly leak oil. im impressed on whats done to your car, I do not work in a shop but i have been fabricating turbo charged cars for a long time and i know i could have done a much better job, i hope you dont take offense to that.

cool! i would be pretty confident if i had someone mear me that did it too. from what i read he still had some bugs and therte was someone on the site that had 1 completed in a day. did he get it wotked out? 3SI is a good site for any performance minded person to check out though. esp the advanced technical discussion. rpw has stage 1-3 cams for thr truck and a set of fidanza adj cam gears for a 2000+ eclipse gt v6 will fit. only prob is that it is hard to tune as u have to tear down the front half to get to the cam gears. so it would be a good idea to get a dyno 1st. david said they got the best results at -4 degrees. gives a flat curve. i need to advance mine as i have a flat curve and want to put the power back in the stock range of 3500-4500. their # is 011-61-8-94431719. get a calling card and ask 4 david.
