well u could mess with civics if u didnt have 1,000lbs in stero and body kits ;-). accords are actually pretty fast (v6). not too many vehicles with close to 250hp and 280 ftlbs at the wheels are going to be slow. clay

may be true for the older gens but the manual 7th can get close to 14's stock. and unlike the eclipse it is a family car. actually know af a 6th gen that runs 12's but it is not close to stock. helluva a sleeper though. Clay
p.s thought i deleted the "fast" was supposed to read pretty fast(considering)

I smoked a dodge magnum the other day, left him at the light. Then he looked up saw the green, and I haven't seen him since.

well, i have reached the eaiser 300 mark. i am now at 305 ftlbs with my 75 shot. i will prob get a ecu reprogram in the near future along with a torque converter rebuild. i am still 50 hp away from the 300 mark but to do that would put me well over 350 ftlbs since this engine is meant to create torque .i could get some headers to boost the hp some but i like the torque in a 2 1/4 ton vehicle. clay

do u u may want to just swap the heads and get headers. then u get a real good bump in power. have an option of installing the turbo and dont have to worry about the tranny at all. I have headers in the air right now and hope to have them installed and real close to 300hp by the end of the year. Clay

you see, my super detailed plans! relocate the battery to the back and stuff a turbo in it's place. then have one turbo feed an intercooler that runs in front and the other turbo can feed a top-mount intercooler then mix both with a y-pipe into the intake manifold. All the pipes will fit no problem AND you get to have a crazy hoodscoop like off a subaru wrx. Aloha Spo, just joined. I've always loved twin turbos on just about anything that can handle it. While it looks quite cool with twin turbo and twin intercoolers, I'd rather skip the extra complexities and go with twin turbos that dumps into an efficient intercooler with dual inlets on opposite ends with a single outlet on the bottom (much similar in configuration to the so-called f-body mufflers on the exhaust side). Please correct me if I'm wrong but is the 2002 MS LX 3.0 V6 the same basic engine as that of the V6 in the Eclipse? If so, what are the differences (aside from the obviously different engine computer). I guess what I'm asking is that if the Eclipse and MS shares basic engine, what prevents me from adapting Eclipse aftermarket bits (aside from the obvious legal ramifications aka emissions). When you say 're-gap' the pistons did you mean modifying the pistons by cutting extra or larger valve notches? If so, that makes sense. If not, exactly what do you mean by 're-gap'? Thanks.

I got the catback done at mineke back when they were running their $350 dual exhaust special. The flowmasters sound GREAT, but drones on the inside. If you are going to get something like flowmasters, I suggest some sound deadening material for the inside of your car. Which version of the flowmasters did you get? If you got the 40 or 50 series, they sound good, but have interior drone (or resonance). However, the Delta Flow versions of these mufflers sounds much the same (if but a BIT more quieter), but has a greatly reduced interior resonance. I intend to install Series 50 Delta Flow muffler(s). I'm still trying to determine whether it's possible to legally get dual exhaust in the MS tho. More info @ www.flowmastermufflers.com/mufflers.html

hey Oz! I know this is gonna sound kinda loser-ish, but my Momma's got a 2000 Honda Accord v6 that's pushing 256 hp and runs a 14.3 STOCK. That's 4 hp less than the 350Z/G35's stock. If you guys wanna feel superior again, race a xB. I have one now and I actually MISS the added power I had with my Tero! xB's run 103 hp stock, mine's running 109 with a CAI, throttle body spacer, and rice can. I'm building it for show though, so I'll be bagging it WAY before I get a turbo.

I don't know why you clowns insist on making the montero 'fast' It's an overweight SUV, make the ***** TOW if you're going to do anything... I swear if it wasnt for my EVO and my GVR4... and my two eclipses... I'd shoot myself, if i had to drive my slow *** SUV all the time that is...
